The largest web host and domain registrar in the business is making last minute checks to make sure you’re ready for the holiday it invented a few weeks ago. Go Daddy (godaddy.com), which declared April 29 webmasters day back on April 16, is pitching the event as an opportunity to recognize the contributions webmasters make to businesses.
The event also appears to be functioning, unsurprisingly and fairly cleverly, as a marketing vehicle for Go Daddy.
“There are a number of ways you can pay tribute to your Webmaster tomorrow,” says the company’s press release. “Bake them a cake, take them to dinner or send them an e-card.”
